Neighbors Helping Neighbors: Thank You for Supporting Fill the Van

There is something special about watching a community come together to help its neighbors.

Care Network of Converse County recently launched our Fill the Van fundraiser to support safe, reliable non-emergency medical transportation for people who need help reaching essential care. Our first initiative focuses on helping older adults, individuals with disabilities, and those traveling to life-sustaining dialysis treatments.

Each square purchased represents an investment in a neighbor’s health, independence, and peace of mind.

Community in Action

We are grateful to everyone who purchased a square, shared our fundraiser, visited with our volunteers, and helped spread the word. Every contribution—large or small—helps move this mission forward.

We had a wonderful turnout for our Fill the Van drawing on June 5th, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Converse County Bank, followed by an incredible afternoon at our 9 & Dine Golf Tournament on June 7th (with a perfect 4:00 PM tee-off!).

Because of this incredible community support across both events, Care Network of Converse County is taking meaningful steps toward helping ensure that residents are not left without transportation when they need to travel for essential medical care.

Why It Matters

For many people, especially older adults, neighbors with disabilities, and those managing demanding medical schedules such as dialysis, getting to appointments outside the community can be a serious challenge.

Reliable transportation can mean the difference between receiving needed care and missing it altogether.

Funds raised through Fill the Van help support the vehicles, fuel, insurance, maintenance, and drivers needed to keep this service available.

What’s Next?

Our fundraising grid is still open, and our work is just beginning. If you would like to support this effort, volunteer at a future event, or learn more about Care Network of Converse County, we would love to hear from you.

Thank you, Converse County, for standing with your neighbors and helping keep essential care within reach.
